"The Resilient Rider" - Upcoming Event, November 5-6, 2016

Do your thoughts often go to the worst-case scenario? Do you judge yourself (or your horse) for not being “as good” as you think you should be? Do you ever freeze or get really nervous at a show? Are you afraid to do something with your horse that you would really love to do? Have you ever wondered if you should just give up?

If any of these things happen to you, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

Being resilient is not about never having setbacks; it’s about how we handle them. It's about bouncing back from difficult situations so that we can do the things we love to do. Resilience is a skill like any other, and can be learned. Join us for this 2-day small group, hands-on workshop to learn and apply resilience skills to your work with horses. Open to all disciplines. Participants must be aged 16 and older.

In the fall of 2013 , Wylie again partnered with physiotherapist Julia Mitchell. They piloted a new video analysis project. They worked one on one with three riders, analysing video of them in the saddle, pin pointing their individual issues. Julia then created a series of exercises for each rider, designed to help them overcome the weaknesses in their positions.
